In a major administrative adjustment for regional public sector operations, civil service labor logistics and municipal facility scheduling the Balochistan government has announced a revised winter office timing schedule effective from October 15, 2026 through April 14, 2027. Officially issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) the temporary system vetted configuration realigns standard public utility timelines with fluid seasonal daylight parameters.
The new operational tracking model will have mainstream provincial departments open from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Mon-Thurs) with a combined lunch and prayer time of 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. The change of shift on Fridays is from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM with an additional Friday prayer block from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM. The most important point is that under the standard corporate structure two weeks of holidays for the main offices are secured both on Saturday and Sunday.
| Public Department Sector | Mandated Weekly Shift | Daily Operational Hours | Prayer & Lunch Intercept |
| Mainstream Civil Service | Monday to Thursday Grid | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM | 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM Daily. |
| Friday Mainstream Grid | Friday Execution Node | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM (Friday) |
| Health & Education Attachés | 6-Day Extended Week (Mon–Sat) | 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Fri till 12:30) | Exempt from weekend lockouts. |
Significantly the double holiday weekend rules will not ingest public hospitals, schools, colleges or universities. Attached clinical and educational directorates will function across a six-day work week operating from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM on standard days and closing early at 12:30 PM on Fridays to prevent municipal service shortfalls. Shifting from obsolete manual tracking to clear date bounded scheduling guarantees zero friction across regional workspaces.
