The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has postponed intermediate and matric exams because of increasing tensions between Pakistan and India.
The postponed exams include Islamiyat (Elective) , Principles of Accounting (Inter Part II Theory) and Computer Science (Matric Practical)
A BISE spokesperson said the decision was made due to security concerns after military actions between the two countries. A new exam schedule will be shared soon.
This decision follows Indian airstrikes in Pakistan and Pakistan response which included shooting down five Indian fighter jets and one drone.
Students and the public have been advised to stay alert for further updates.
Meanwhile the British Council Pakistan announced that their exams scheduled for will continue as planned. They will update students if anything changes.
