The Punjab government has officially confirmed a deadline extension of CM Punjab Laptop Program Phase II in a huge relief to the student community in the entire province. This action will be done to make sure that no deserving student is missed on account of time or technical snarls.

According to the latest notification from the Higher Education Department (HED), the revised last date for submission is:

Students are advised to access the portal as early as possible to prevent the last minute rush which most times comes up on the closing date. The scheme is included in the Chief Minister’s vision to close the digital divide and equip students with the tools they need to compete in the new global economy.
PM Youth Laptop Scheme: Distribution at Bacha Khan University
Although the provincial scheme in Punjab is on a roll, federal schemes are also underway. Recently, federal Minister of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Amir Muqam, attended a ceremony wherein laptops were given out at Bacha Khan University.
Over 200 laptops were also distributed to the needy students in the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme during the event. Minister Muqam highlighted that technology is not a luxury anymore, it is now an essential need to develop education in Pakistan. Thousands of students, he said, have already changed their learning experiences as a result of this federal initiative.

Phase II of the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme is a pilot project to specifically focus on high-achievers in the colleges and universities of the public sector. The government hopes to by giving the deadline an extension:
