A Digital Nomad Visa is a special permit that lets you live in a foreign country while working remotely for clients or employers abroad. You don’t need a local job—only proof of regular income and sometimes health insurance. These visas typically last 6–24 months, and in some cases, they can be renewed.

Which Countries Offer Nomad Visa to Pakistanis?

Here are some countries Pakistani passport holders can apply to:

    UAE (Dubai / Abu Dhabi)

    • Called the “Remote Work Visa”
    • Stay up to 1 year
    • Requirement: about $3,500/month foreign income
    • Tax-free salary, online process, fast approval

    Georgia

    • “Remotely from Georgia” program lets you stay 12 months
    • No application fee
    • Need proof of at least $2,000/month foreign income

     Portugal

    • Offers the D7 Visa popular with freelancers
    • Valid for 1 year, renewable
    • Income requirement roughly €1,500–2,800/month
    • Access to EU travel and growing expat scene

    Spain

    • New Digital Nomad Visa started in 2023
    • Non‑EU nationals can stay 1 year, extend up to 5 years
    • Income proof needed (~€2,646/month)
    • Tax benefits (15% flat rate under Beckham Law)

     Croatia

    • One-year Digital Nomad Permit renewable after that
    • Need at least €2,200/month income
    • Tourist‑friendly and scenic

    Mauritius

    • “Premium Visa” for one year, renewable
    • No strict income thresholds but proof of stable income required
    • Tropical surroundings, tax-free on foreign income

    Czech Republic

    • Zivno Freelance Visa for remote freelancers
    • Requires savings + income proof (~€5,500) plus living funds
    • One-year residency, renewable

    Iceland

    • Remote Work Visa valid six months
    • Income threshold ~$7,700/month
    • Perfect for nature lovers

    Caribbean Options

    • Barbados: Welcome Stamp, 1-year visa, annual income ~$50,000
    • Grenada: 1-year nomad visa, renew once
    • Panama: Short-Stay Visa up to 18 months, proof of $3,000/month

    Common Requirements for Pakistanis:

    RequirementTypical Criteria
Remote IncomeSteady earnings from abroad or clients
Health InsuranceOften mandatory for the full visa duration
    Clean RecordNo recent criminal convictions
Accommodation ProofLease, hotel booking, utility bill, etc.
Passport ValidityUsually needs 6+ months beyond stay

Why Apply for a Digital Nomad Visa?

    • Live in beautiful places while working remotely
    • Legal status and longer stays than tourist visas
    • Tax advantages in many countries (some tax-free)
    • Access to local infrastructure, co-working, and services

    Things to Keep in Mind

    • Income requirements vary widely—plan well
    • Not a route to citizenship—most visas are temporary
    • Must follow host country’s tax rules if staying long
    • Local costs (housing, food) can differ significantly

A Digital Nomad Visa lets Pakistanis legally live and work across the globe while earning from an overseas job. A growing number of Pakistanis are choosing places like Portugal, Georgia, or even Mauritius to live while working online. It’s not just about earning money anymore—if your income is stable and you’ve sorted the paperwork, you can experience different cultures, explore new cities, and enjoy life on the move.
