    How Pakistani Students Can Study in Japan for Free

    Pakistani students who dream of studying in Japan now have a great opportunity through the Asian Development Bank–Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP). This program is fully funded, which means it covers all your study expenses, living costs, and more.

    What is the ADB-Japan Scholarship Program?

    The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program helps talented students from ADB’s member countries including Pakistan  study for their Master’s degree at top Japanese universities.

    It offers degrees in many important fields such as:

    • Economics and Management
    • Health and Education
    • Agriculture and Environment
    • Natural Resource Management
    • Science and Technology
    • Other development-related subjects

    What Does the ADB-Japan Scholarship ProgramCover?

    If you’re selected, the scholarship will take care of almost everything you need to study and live in Japan, including:

    • Full tuition fees
    • Monthly allowance for food and housing
    • Books and learning materials
    • Medical insurance
    • Travel expenses from your home country to Japan

    Who Can Apply for ADB-Japan Scholarship Program?

    To be eligible for the ADB-JSP, you must meet the following requirements:

    • Nationality: Must be from an ADB member country (Pakistan is included).
    • Education: Must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
    • Work Experience: At least two years of full-time work experience after completing your degree.
    • Language: Must be fluent in English (both speaking and writing).
    • Age: Must be 35 years old or younger (some exceptions possible).
    • Health: Must be in good physical condition to study abroad.

    How to Apply for the ADB Scholarship

    Follow these steps to apply:

    1. Choose a University:
      Visit the websites of Japanese universities that are part of the program and check the courses they offer.
    2. Request Information:
      Contact your chosen university to get detailed information and the application form.
    3. Submit Your Application:
      Apply directly to the university and mention that you wish to be considered for the ADB-Japan Scholarship Program.
    4. University Review:
      The university will review your documents and forward shortlisted candidates to the ADB.
    5. ADB Selection:
      The Asian Development Bank will finalize the list and send it to the Government of Japan for approval.
    6. Final Confirmation:
      If selected, you’ll receive an official letter and must sign an agreement promising to return to your home country after completing your degree.
