TheKhyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has declared the mass auction to those who have vehicles and who would be proud to show their identity. The Excise and Taxation Department will auction 40 exclusive vehicle registration numbers, which are depictive of the well-known family names, tribes, and regions.
This initiative enables the citizens to have personalized number plates which are legally owned by them as they represent their culture. Having single digits through numbers and the tribal names with great demands, the event will have rough bidding wars.

The auction has a distinct set of 40 registration marks. These are not mere random numbers but within them lie a lot of cultural content. The list contains names of large tribes, regions and castes that are already experiencing the high demand.
Prominent Names Up for Auction:
- Tribes & Castes: Dawar, Hoti, Shinwari, Mehsud, Jadoon, Marwat, Khattak, Qadri, Sheikh, Raja, Awan.
- Regions & Identity: Waziristan, Khyber, Pashtun.
Officials have noted that some of these numbers are single-digit and fall into a special category, making them highly valuable assets for vehicle owners.
KP Number Plates Auction Price and Bidding Process
The government has set a premium baseline for these exclusive plates.
- Minimum Reserve Price: Rs 1 Million (per number)
- Bidding Style: Open Bidding Process
The auction will run openly thus the number is taken by the highest bidder. With such popular names as Waziristan and Khattak, the final bids are anticipated to be much higher than the reserve price.
