NADRA has introduced a special lifetime ID card for people in Pakistan who voluntarily register as organ donors. These ID cards will have a green heart symbol to show their decision to donate organs for humanitarian purposes.
People who are 18 years or older and have registered as organ donors can visit their nearest NADRA office or apply using the Pak ID mobile app to get their new Smart ID card or NICOP with this unique mark.
In another move NADRA is now working with provincial governments to modernize the way births and deaths are recorded in the country. A new digital registration system is being rolled out in hospitals and health centers as part of the Uraan Pakistan program.
The upgraded system will help keep better track of life events like birth and death records. It is being developed under the National Registration and Biometric Policy Framework in collaboration with the World Bank.
NADRA has also made it easier for first time applicants by allowing them to get their ID card for free. This helps more people get registered without worrying about costs.
Earlier NADRA had launched a non chip National ID card that comes with new smart features and improved security but at a more affordable price. These continuous upgrades show NADRA dedication to digital progress and making ID services easier and safer for all citizens.
