Punjab’s government is all set to begin the second phase of the Green Tractor Scheme in August 2025. The Green Tractor Scheme is meant to give real support to farmers who own small or medium-sized land. Through this scheme, the Punjab government will help them buy tractors by covering a big part of the cost.
In the first round of the program, many farmers were able to buy tractors with the government’s help — and it made a big difference in their work. Because of how well it worked last time, the government now wants to continue the scheme and offer the same help to even more farmers across Punjab’s villages and towns.
