Very soon, Lahore is going to become the home of something never seen in Pakistan before, a Giraffe Café is going to be established in the Lahore Safari Park. The news of the exciting announcement was made by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz who posted the news on social media which caused buzz to the nature lovers, families, and wildlife lovers in the country.
Giraffe Café is opening just after the introduction of two giraffes to the Safari Park, and it is a huge step in the improvement of the wildlife collection and tourism attraction of the park. The idea of this cafe is giving the visitor an opportunity to not only view the giraffes but also to make contact with the animal safely in an open air and natural setting.
The Giraffe Café will be based on the successful wildlife cafes of Kenya and Thailand, with high stands, through which the visitors will have a clear view of the giraffes and a safe distance. Visitors will have a chance to eat, take snacks, and drink coffee and have the opportunity to get the animals to feed, take a photo with them, and this will be an experience that cannot be duplicated.
The project is expected to integrate eco-tourism, education and entertainment and provide families and tourists with a new reason to visit Lahore Safari Park. It will also be a social media hotspot and its unique installation will give all the visitors ideal opportunities to take a picture.
The official opening date is yet to be declared, but it has been reported that the construction and final preparations have already been going on. The project is an indication of the increased attention of the Punjab government towards animal welfare, development of tourism, and new attractions to the population.
The Giraffe Café will offer a fresh change of nature in the interaction with wildlife and leisure dining, which will make this city a trend setter in the region when it comes to creative tourism projects.
