Legal and Criminal Standings: Provides immediate access to the applicant’s background check, current police cases or previous felony history.
Licensing Authenticity: Cross-references the driver’s commercial license string to ensure that it is valid, active and legally cleared for heavy transport.
Traffic Violations (Challans): Reports history of moving violations, unpaid electronic fines and repeat signal violations.

This vetting service launch comes within the context of Additional Inspector General of Traffic Police Muhammad Waqas Nazir’s campaign on road safety. Punjab has recorded a significant 35 per cent drop in fatal road crashes on state-controlled roads this year, as a result of various improvements in speed enforcement and biometric testing regulations.
The department has instituted background checks for passenger buses and heavy cargo trucks in order to continue the downward trend.
