The Excise and Taxation Department Khyber Pakhtunkhaw has also been able to conduct a large KP vehicle number plates auction in Peshawar by making a total of Rs. 5.81 crore by merely auctioning 11 premium number plates.
The special plates are also a great demand as many customers like to have their vehicles with some unique and personal numbers. The bidders were interested to participate in the auction throughout the province.
Wazir-1 Becomes the Most Expensive Plate
The highest bid of the event was for Wazir-1, which sold for an impressive Rs. 1.5 crore. Close behind was Afridi-1, fetching Rs. 1 crore 40 lakh, while Khan-1 was sold for Rs. 1.11 crore.
Another popular plate, Peshawar-1, reached the Rs. 1 crore mark, showing how much people are willing to pay for prestigious vehicle numbers.
Other High-Value KP Vehicle Number Plates
Several other plates also attracted strong prices. Haripur-1 sold for Rs. 80 lakh, Yusufzai-1 for Rs. 49 lakh, and Durrani-1 for Rs. 16.6 lakh.
Meanwhile, Swabi-1 and Malakand-1 were sold for Rs. 12 lakh each, DI Khan-1 for Rs. 11 lakh, and Gandapur-1 for Rs. 10.8 lakh. The base price for all plates was set at Rs. 10 lakh.
Some KP Vehicle Number Plates Not Included
The officials indicated that two plates that belonged to the former Prime Minister Imran Khan were not included in this round of auction: Imran Khan-1 and Imran Khan-804.
There is the successful KP vehicle number plates auction that indicates an increasing interest in registering luxury vehicles and it is now a good source of revenue to the provincial government.
