The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication has recently announced SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program Batch 2 which offers fresh graduates in IT the opportunity to acquire paid industry practice and work on real world projects.
The program is to assist young professionals to leave the classroom learning and enter into the practical work by placing them in the IT and IT enabled services companies registered under Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).
The graduates can develop technical expertise, on-the-job energy, and complete work experience that allows them to join the expanding job pool in the IT sector of Pakistan through this initiative.
Paid SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program
Within the SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program Batch 2, the candidates will be enrolled into a six-month paid apprenticeship. The participants will be employed fulltime in registered IT and ITeS organizations in Pakistan.
Apprentices will earn a monthly salary of Rs. 30, 000 as they have practical exposure to real projects, teamwork and working conditions.
This practical setup helps graduates understand how the industry actually works beyond university education.
Eligibility Criteria for SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program
To apply for SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program Batch 2, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Degree or transcript issued within the last two years
- Minimum CGPA of 2.5
- Background in IT or related fields
- Willingness to work full time for six months
The second batch of the program will officially start on February 20, 2026.
Application Process SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program
The online portal for SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program Batch 2 is open from January 26 to February 10, 2026.
New applicants must create an account on the portal, while existing users need to log in and update their profiles. The application process includes:
- Profile creation
- Resume submission
- Uploading academic transcripts
- CNIC upload
Only complete and updated profiles will be considered for selection.
Companies Invited as Host Organizations
Along with graduates, IT and IT-enabled services companies across Pakistan have also been invited to join SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program Batch 2 as host firms.
- New companies must register on the portal
- Existing firms must update their profiles
- Host organizations must provide full-time placements for six months
These companies will mentor apprentices and give them real workplace experience.
