The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has officially begun the recruitment of Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj (Hajj assistants) and Nazimeen for the next Hajj (2027) [MoRA]. This is an annual deployment for the purpose of facilitating, guiding and assisting Pakistani pilgrims to traverse the holy sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Hajj 2027 Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj Eligibility Criteria and Grade Breakdown
Only regular, non-contractual government employees serving across federal, provincial, or regional tiers are eligible to apply for these coveted positions. The quota is distributed among two primary administrative categories based on official scales:
Nazimeen (Supervisory Staff): Reserved for senior regular officers falling under BS-17 to BS-18.
Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj (Field & Support Staff): Allocated for regular staff members operating in BS-07 to BS-16.
Regional quotas are assigned by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) for federal bodies, provinces, Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and the vacancies are filled accordingly. Final manpower allocation can be subject to changes depending on the final pilgrim quota granted by the Saudi authorities.
Selection Process via Open Testing Service (OTS)
To eliminate nepotism and select the fittest candidates, the ministry requires all applicants to undergo a rigorous evaluation pipeline managed by Open Testing Service (OTS):
Written Screening Test: Candidates must clear an objective-type written exam evaluating general knowledge, Islamic studies, and operational awareness.
Physical and Endurance Assessment: Because duties in Makkah and Madinah involve extreme weather and massive crowd management, field staff are subjected to physical fitness checks.
Departmental Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present authenticated service records and departmental clearances.

Applicants must complete their submissions digitally through the designated testing portal rather than sending manual paperwork to the ministry.
Online Registration: Visit the Open Testing Service Portal, locate the Hajj Khuddam project link, and set up your candidate profile.
Fee Submission: Generate the deposit slip and pay the requisite processing fee via 1-Bill enabled mobile banking applications or designated partner bank branches.
Document Uploading: Attach scanned copies of your computerized national identity card (CNIC), Departmental NOC, recent pay slip, and service certificate.
The strict deadline for online applications and fee submission is August 27, 2026. Late or incomplete applications will be automatically rejected by the system.
