Marvel has officially confirmed the return of “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” for two other seasons which sparked excitement among the fans. The animated series aired its first season on Disney Plus and quickly gained popularity among Marvel fans. Production has commenced for Season 2 and is anticipated to premiere sometime in 2026.

Hudson Thames will reprise his role as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy a.k.a. Spider-Gwen will also be joining the cast. In a newly released image of Spider-Gwen, fans get a clue about her involvement with Oscorp as she holds one of Green Goblin’s pumpkin bombs.
During an interview with The Movie Podcast, Marvel producer Brad Winderbaum shared that Season 2 is progressing quite nicely and that animatics are now about halfway completed. There was much praise for the deep emotional connections forming in the narrative, hinting that future seasons will further explore these relationships.
With the first season laying the perfect groundwork, followers can anticipate more riveting adventures and explorations of character development through the future seasons. With production on the series underway, Marvel promises a continuation of the series that exalts Spider-Man’s animated journey to far greater heights.
