Kuwait has once again officially lifted its visa ban on Pakistanis and has started issuing different types of visas. This includes work, family visit, dependent, tourist and business visas.
Pakistan Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Zaffar Iqbal confirmed that visa services for Pakistan have resumed from May. Many Pakistani applicants have already started receiving approvals for Kuwait visas. This step is seen as a major improvement in the friendly relationship between the two countries.

One of the first big steps after the visa reopening is Kuwait plan to hire 1,200 Pakistani nurses. The first group of 125 nurses was supposed to arrive recently but their arrival got delayed due to housing problems. Dr. Iqbal said that special teams are now working to solve these issues and the nurses will be in Kuwait soon.
Dr. Zafar Iqbal also shared that Pakistan and Kuwait are in the final stages of signing a labor agreement (MoU). Even though the MoU is not officially signed yet but some of its points are already being followed to help make the hiring process smoother
Dr. Zafar Iqbal further stated that our people are respected and play a valuable role in Kuwaiti society.
He also added that more than 93,000 Pakistanis live in Kuwait and contribute in fields like healthcare, education and other services.
