Bangladesh Announce Squad as Pakistan Arrives in Dhaka for T20I Series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has confirmed their squad for the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan. They’ve decided to stick with the same lineup that grabbed a solid 2-1 win over Sri Lanka not long ago. It seems the selectors are backing consistency over change — and maybe they’re hoping this settled squad will perform again.

Litton Das will again be leading the side, continuing a pretty solid run as captain. Since taking on the role back in May, he’s helped Bangladesh to two overseas T20I series wins — one in the Caribbean last December, and now the one in Sri Lanka.

Interestingly, the squad announcement came just as the Pakistan team landed in Dhaka.

The first clash is scheduled for July 20 at Dhaka’s Shere Bangla National Stadium with the remaining games following on July 22 and 24.

Back in May-June, Pakistan hosted Bangladesh in Lahore for a similar T20I series — and it didn’t go well for the visitors. Pakistan won all three games without much trouble. Now that the tables have turned and Bangladesh are playing at home, they’ll be hoping for a much better showing this time.
