FDE Announces Summer Sports Camp: Schedule, Sports, & Venue Details

The students in the federal capital’s public schools and colleges have good tidings. The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) in coordination with Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (Inter-Provincial Coordination) and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), have officially launched the “FDE Summer Sports Camp” to ensure the learners remain physically fit through engaging them in sports during their summer vacations.

The main goal of this sport project is to encourage the younger generation physically, develop team spirit and encourage indoor sports. The camp is being organized by more than 500 students from 432 government educational institutes who will be provided with the professional training free of cost by state level and national level trainers. Official Camp Schedule and Daily Session Timings

The official notification from the Federal Directorate of Education along with the administrative notification given by the Pakistan Sports Board has stated that the sports camp will be of 14 days period. All trainings are to be held indoors and strictly focused when temperatures are cooler, so as to protect children from extremes of heatwaves. The timeline is laid out below: 

The training modules are scheduled linearly from Monday through Friday. Daily attendance checks will be administered across all registered brackets to ensure participants successfully fulfill the two-week training criteria.

List of Indoor Sports and Games Offered

Given that the camp is taking place during the peak summer months of June and July, the Pakistan Sports Board has chosen premium indoor games. This ensures all activities take place inside fully air-conditioned, covered gymnasiums. Professional coaching will be delivered across four major categories: 

1. Volleyball: Students will receive hands-on training concerning serving mechanics, court positioning, and defensive setups.
2. Table Tennis: Multiple professional tables have been arranged to run drills designed to improve fast reflex pathways and hand-eye coordination.
3. Badminton: Aspiring badminton players will be guided directly by veteran local players serving as dedicated event instructors.
4. Chess: Beyond physical endurance, specialized chess modules have been integrated into the daily curriculum to challenge and sharpen analytical thinking patterns.

Official Venue Infrastructure and Security Provisions

The FDE has secured Islamabad’s premier athletic facility to support this mega-event:

• The entire camp is set to be conducted within the AIS Sports Complex, Islamabad (Inner City) at the very modern Indoor Gymnasium Halls off Kashmir Highway, near Aabpara.
• Facilities and On-Site Support: Pakistan Sports Board has made comprehensive plans for onsite standby power generators to ensure un-interrupted drinking water, onsite chilled water facilities and a first-aid room with medical staff to provide immediate medical service.
• Students may be permitted to dress in their normal school uniform attire, but if that is not the case, they must observe the dress code. Adding trainers or joggers, athletic tracksuits which allow breathability and are lightweight is encouraged. 

Free Registration Pipeline and Parent Consent Guidelines

The most important item to note for any parent and/or student considering attending is that there is NO charge for the camp. The Ministry of Education has issued a tight restriction – no extra charge can be made by any affiliated institution or individual in any way under the guise of this summer camp.

The students are required to pick up a registration voucher at their principal’s office in the school/college to get admission. Because participation is entirely voluntary, submitting a signed parental consent form is mandatory. Entry passes into the Pakistan Sports Complex will not be processed without this verified documentation.
