The 97th Academy Awards were held Sunday night in Los Angeles honoring the best in film over the course of the previous year. This year’s Oscars were filled with surprise moments with Anora leading the way with five wins, including Best Picture, Director and Original Screenplay. Adrien Brody accepted his second Oscar for his performance in movie ‘The Brutalist’ while Mikey Madison accepted Best Actress for her impressive performance in Anora. Some of the other significant winners were Kieran Culkin for Best Supporting Actor, Zoe Saldana for Best Supporting Actress and Paul Tazewell, who became the first Black male to win an award in Costume Design.
