Pakistan Super League is heading for a historic upgrade in the sense that it is set to increase its number of teams to eight. The PCB has officially declared the names of the 10 companies that have passed the bid to purchase the two new franchises of PSL.

The bid will be conducted on January 8 at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad. The new franchises will be part of PSL 11 that will go on between March 26 and May 3, 2026.

Inverex (Renewable Energy)

Inverex Solar Energy, one of Pakistan’s top renewable energy companies and a previous PSL supporter, has officially qualified to bid and aims to secure a franchise.

OZ Group / OZI Developers (Real Estate)

Led by Hamza Majeed, OZ Group works in real estate and development and has openly shown interest in investing in sports and entertainment. They are now officially part of the bidding process.

VGO Tel (Technology)

VGO Tel, a Karachi-based mobile technology company led by CEO Naveed Gaba, has also qualified. Their entry highlights how the Pakistani tech industry views PSL as a strong investment opportunity.

Jazz (Telecom)

Jazz, one of Pakistan’s largest telecom companies and a major PSL partner, has joined the bidding race. This shows that PSL continues to attract powerful corporate brands.

DSM Tareen Group

Owned by businessman Ali Khan Tareen, a former owner of Multan Sultans, this group is looking to re-enter PSL ownership and make a strong return to the league.

i2c (Fintech)

i2c, a global fintech platform founded by US-based Pakistani entrepreneur Aamir Waien, is among the bidders. Their participation reflects international investor confidence in PSL.

Walee Tech (Media & Fintech)

Walee Tech works in digital media and financial technology. The company aims to use PSL as a platform for wider digital growth and engagement.

Prism Developers + Exchange ON (Property and Tech)

This partnership combines real estate expertise with technology innovation. Their involvement shows the growing interest of cross-industry businesses in PSL.

Kingsmen Group (Investments)

Kingsmen Group is an investment company that sees PSL franchises as valuable long-term assets in Pakistan’s fast-growing T20 cricket market.

Aim Next Inc (Tech & Innovation)

Aim Next Inc represents the technology and innovation sector and joins the list of companies hoping to secure a PSL team.

What Happens Next?

At the January 8 auction, the successful companies will receive the rights to the two new PSL teams. They will then choose their home cities from PCB’s approved list, which includes:
