The Government of Sindh officially announces vacation schedule for all education institutions of the Province for the academic year of 2026. The Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SELD) has finalized the dates amid rising extreme summer temperatures amidst the health department’s recommendations to provide the safety of the students and teachers. This is the actual schedule for Sindh and the timeline as per announcement of the Punjab government.
Sindh Summer Vacation Schedule 2026: Key Dates
The Summer Holidays in Sindh will be in two-months, according to the official notification. The order will only be applicable for all Government and Private Primary, Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools.

The provincial steering committee on education stated that the private school principals and administrators are to adhere to these dates. If any institution is observed to be running classes regularly during the break period, action(s) may be taken against them and their registration may be suspended.
Punjab School Vacation Schedule 2026: Earlier Closing
The Punjab government has decided to start summer holidays early since there is a possible risk of extreme heat in the province’s plains. Minister for School Education Rana Sikandar Hayat announced the following dates:

By its prolonged presence in Punjab its intention is to save children from the high heat during the month of May and June.
Health Guidelines and Heatwave Precautions
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast a warmer than usual summer of 2026.
In the light of it, the Sindh Education & Literacy Department, through interaction with PDMA, Sindh have recommended the Parents and Students about Holidays as follows:
Stay Hydrated: Make sure that children have lots of water and ORS to keep them from getting dehydrated.
Stay out of the sun between 11am and 4pm when the Sun’s UV level is high.
Light Clothing: Light and ventilating clothing will help your body to be cool.
