Deputy PM and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar has visited Madinah Munawarah, Saudi Arabia, on his official state visit. When he arrived, he was in a rush to Masjid-e-Nabawi (SAWW) and paid great respect at the resting place of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him, Roza-e-Rasool (RAS). This visit to Madinah by this high profile Ishaq Dar is indicative of the good level of spiritual relationship and valuable bilateral ties that have already been built between the leadership of Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Deputy Prime Minister was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the Saudi officials and the Pakistani diplomatic corps when he arrived in the holy city.
Offering Prayers for the Muslim Ummah at Masjid-e-Nabawi
While at Masjid-e-Nabawi (SAWW), Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar performed special prayers at Riaz-ul-Jannah, a highly sacred space inside the mosque. He extended greetings and salutations on behalf of the government and the Pakistani people before the Roza-e-Rasool.
It was a spiritual moment for the Deputy Prime Minister who offered many prayers for peace, progress, stability and economic prosperity of Pakistan. In the current socio-economic problems that beset the Nation, his prayers were mainly on the unification of the Nation and national development. In addition, he prayed for unity and welfare for the Muslim Ummah around the world, including the oppressed Muslim people of Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir, who remain victims to this day of systemic hardship.

Visiting Jabal Uhud and Honoring the Martyrs of Islam
Following his spiritual engagements at the Prophet’s Mosque, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the historic site of Jabal Uhud (Mount Uhud) on the outskirts of Madinah. The site is very significant in Islamic history due to the Battle of Uhud, the second major military conflict of the early Muslim community.
Ishaq Dar paid his respects at the graves of the martyrs of Uhud, the beloved uncle of the Holy Prophet (SAWW), and the leader of the martyrs (Sayyid al-Shuhada) Hazrat Ameer Hamza (RA). The DPM provided all the facilities for the prayers of the deceased (Fateha) for Hazrat Ameer Hamza (RA) and all the brave companions of the historic battle who sacrificed their lives. During this portion of his tour, he has been expressing his profound respect for Islamic history and key historical events.
