Islamabad Police Ministerial Staff Recruitment 2026: New Roll Number Slips Now Available Online

Thousands of young men and women across Pakistan apply for police department jobs every year, chasing the kind of job security that’s hard to find elsewhere right now. The Islamabad Police recruitment drive for ministerial staff is one such opportunity, and it’s drawn a huge response this year. But there’s a catch that candidates need to know about. The roll number slip issued earlier has been replaced, and anyone who ignores this update risks turning up at the wrong centre, or worse, missing their test altogether.

Why Islamabad Police Made This Change

According to the department, the slips originally issued for the Ministerial Staff Recruitment 2026 test are no longer valid. New ones have been put up on the NPF-TAS portal instead. This kind of last-minute revision isn’t rare in Pakistan’s government hiring process. Test centres get shifted, timings get adjusted, seating plans change, usually because of practical constraints that come up close to the exam date. For a candidate travelling in from another district, though, even a small change like this can throw the whole day off.

What’s Actually Different on the Slip

Two things have changed on the updated document:

    • The exam venue (your centre may not be the same one listed before)
    • The reporting time ahead of the Computer-Based Test (CBT)

If you already have a slip saved from before, don’t rely on it. Islamabad Police has made it clear that only the newest version on the portal will get you through the gate at your test centre.

Most applicants in Pakistan are checking this on their phones rather than a laptop, so the process has thankfully been kept straightforward:

    • Go to npftas.pk on your browser.
    • Enter your CNIC or application number when asked.
    • Find your entry under Ministerial Staff Recruitment 2026.
    • Download the latest slip.
    • Save it to your phone and print a copy too, just in case.
    • Plan to reach the centre well ahead of your reporting time.

A Quick Word on the CBT Itself

Since this is a Computer-Based Test, anyone who hasn’t sat one before should spend a little time beforehand getting comfortable with how on-screen questions and timers work. It also helps to arrive early, since biometric verification at Islamabad Police centres can take a while when there’s a long queue.

    Conclusion

At the end of the day, this whole episode is a good reminder that in Pakistan’s recruitment system, a missed notification can cost you as much as poor preparation. Before test day arrives, check the NPF-TAS portal one more time, just to be safe.
