The Khyber Medical University (KMU) in Peshawar has officially announced the beginning of the KMU Undergraduate Admissions for 2026. The students who have been ready to enroll in top medical institutes such as Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), BS Nursing (GENERIC) and Allied Health Sciences (AHS) courses are expected to take the KMU Centralized Admission Test (KMU CAT 2026) for admission.
The university has launched its online platform and declared the complete registration schedule for KMU Centralized Admission Test Portal. This centralized evaluation is required to pass in order to secure an open-merit or self-finance seat in all public and allied health private institutes affiliated with KMU in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Official KMU CAT 2026 Schedule & Crucial Timelines
KMU conducts Centralized Admission Test (CAT) in different stages to promote transparency in the institutions. The first part has been organized into the following time frame:
Online Registration: Online application has started from early June 2026.
Registration Deadline (Phase 1): Eligible candidates will have to fill out their digital profile by the second week of August 2026.
Roll Number Slips Dispatch will be made available 1 week prior to the Exam on the Portal containing details of the test venue.
Exam Date of KMU CAT: The actual Exam Date for KMU CAT for the year 2026 will be in the last week of August 2026 and will be taken at the same time throughout the key regional divisions.
KMU Academic Eligibility Benchmarks
Candidates need to carefully meet the following criteria to appear for the entrance test and be considered for further Merit List in the institution:
Basic Qualification: Applicants should have passed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent O-Level with science subjects.
Higher Secondary Requirements: Higher Secondary (F) Passed.Sc pre Medical or a similar International qualification (such as A levels).
Minimum Percentage Threshold:
DPT Program: 60% or higher F (unadjusted).Sc Pre-Medical is compulsory.
BS Nursing & Allied Health Sciences: 60% unadjusted marks in F.Sc Pre-Medical is required.
Those students who have appeared for the Sc Part-II annual board exams in 2026 and are waiting for their final mark sheet are eligible to apply on a ‘Result Awaiting’ basis.

All registration processes are carried out on KMU’s own registration gateway in the cloud. Candidates will be able to book their slots if they follow this step-by-step process:
Registration: Register in KMU Centralized Admission Test Portal with valid CNIC, Form-B or Passport number.
Give Information: Enter your correct personal profile information,Matric & Fsc Marks.
Test Center: select the city option of your choice from the various cities in the region such as Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Abbottabad, Kohat, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan.
Download their Processing Fee voucher and Pay it: Generate and Deposit Fee Challan. Registration fee can be paid in any Bank Alfalah branch or through integrated mobile digital banking channels. Upload a clear photo of the receipt that you have paid to complete the submission.
Centralized Admission Test (CAT) Examination Matrix
The KMU CAT paper comprises 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with an allocated testing duration of 90 minutes. The evaluation is drawn directly from the F.Sc Pre-Medical curriculum approved by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board:
