The Islamabad Traffic Police has announced a comprehensive Islamabad traffic advisory and diversion plan for the Kashmir Day Walk scheduled for October 27, 2026. The special traffic regulations will take effect starting at 7:00 AM and will remain strictly operational until the public demonstration safely concludes.
According to corporate reports from capital authorities vehicular flow will face closures across multiple arterial zones. Commuters traveling via Shahrah-e-Jamhuriat from the Secretariat toward France Turn must reroute. The department advises utilizing Margalla Road as a primary alternative path. Likewise, in the same area (between Dhoke Dhokri Chowk and France Turn) the blockage should be avoided by the drivers and they should go through Embassy Road and Ataturk Road to reach their destination.
Other diversions will impact traffic flow between Shams Picket and Radio Pakistan, and both Bari Imam and Third Avenue will be open for traffic. Moreover, the traffic from FBR Chowk and Waheed Shaheed Chowk towards the Secretariat is heavily diverted on Margalla Road. Lastly, from the headquarters of NADRA to Radio Pakistan Chowk, it is still closed and citizens have to use Jinnah Avenue. Islamabad Traffic Police has put in place a specific plan for parking for all those who are going to attend the walk. The administration politely requests citizens to obey traffic warden instructions to reduce clogging of the city.
