BISE Rawalpindi reschedules Computer Science Papers due to a huge administrative intervention by the provincial government. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi had postponed the date of Intermediate Second Annual Examinations 2026 for Jhelum district to 30th November but the situation has now changed and the Chief Minister of Punjab has officially withdrawn the postponement.
Chief Minister Orders Exams to Hold on Original Schedule
The first postponement was granted because the deputy commissioner of Jhelum sought a change in the date of the exam with the board because of security deployments for an upcoming visit from a VIP. But Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz severely condemned the district administration for disturbing the educational routine of the students. The CM consequently instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Jhelum to be removed on the spot and directed all papers to be sent on the schedule.
Original Exam Date: The Intermediate Computer Science examinations will officially be held on November 10, 2026, as originally planned.
District Exclusions: The first postponement notification did not affect Centres outside Jhelum district, which were under the Rawalpindi board.
New rule: Under the new high-level executive order issued by the CM, students from all examination centres in the BISE Rawalpindi will now sit at the same time.
Roll Number Slips and Examination Session Instructions
The board’s controller of examinations, Mubashir Saeed confirmed that things are now back to normal to enable smooth conduct of the morning as well as evening group. Students can confidently make use of their roll number slips at their respective test centres while the management is ready to provide them revised slips. Board spokesman Arslan Cheema has told all the candidates to reach their respective centres on November 10 on time to prevent any problem on the day of the examination.
