Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, conversed with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan of Türkiye on phone and held a crucial meeting with him to strengthen bilateral ties and deal with the dynamic geopolitical landscape of the Middle East.
The in-depth strategic dialogue addressed in great detail the review of the frameworks of mutual defense, inter-governmental trade channels and coordination of foreign policy actions to immediate international developments on September 10, 2026. Unifying Positions on the Palestine Issue and Sovereign European Sanctions
One of the main topics of the telephonic meeting was strengthening the stance of the two countries regarding Palestine. Activating the R4 Framework with Saudi Arabia and Egypt
Dar and Fidan highlighted the need for on-going and close consultations, as well as through structured multi-lateral platforms, to insulate regional trade corridors and put a lid on cross-border security issues. In particular, they emphasized on the strategic importance of the Regional Four (R4) alliance established between Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, also known as a tzuiratri alliance.
The R4 is designed to be an elite diplomatic and intelligence-sharing sandbox. The framework brings together the four major Islamic countries to provide automated threat scanning, coordinate ship-to-ship defense policies in the Arabians and the Mediterranean and eliminate any possibility of the manual bureaucracy of the four countries in the Mediterranean failing to coordinate in the event of any sudden geopolitical crisis in the region.
Transitioning to a Direct UNGA Sideline Convention in New York
To maintain the momentum of the operational discussion that was started during the call, the two leaders concluded the meeting by formally agreeing to implement a comprehensive one-on-one bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
The coming UNGA convention will be a review desk to carry out the technical audit of the implementation speed on Pak-Turkiye strategic economic blueprint, including joint aerospace projects, safe cloud technology transfer and cashless revenue sharing program. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan complimented Pakistan for its ” Diplomatic diplomacy in the security matrices of the South Asian region” and reaffirmed Ankara’s role in supporting Islamabad in any respective matter of mutual sovereign interest.
