The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has issued an official HEC Document Attestation Warning to help safeguard citizens from a growing verification scam. In a formal public advisory, the commission strongly cautioned applicants against engaging with deceptive intermediaries. Some fake agencies are claiming to be official issuers of processed university degrees and transcript verification, offering to process the documents quickly. 

Protecting Academic Record Security Against Fake Intermediaries

The first of these aims is to ensure the security of the academic record of students nationwide. Certain degree agents may defraud applicants by demanding excessive fees and misusing very personal transcripts.

To be extra safe, all degree holders should follow these HEC safety guidelines:

Don’t deal with Middlemen: Do not give out original degrees, diplomas or personal information to unconfirmed parties.

Verify Credentials: Reject any individual claims of insider influence or fast-tracked manual options within the commission.

Report Scams: Alert potentially suspicious agents trying to get in on the institutional verification process. 

Utilizing the Official Paperless Attestation Process Securely

The commission explained that the current system of educational verification is completely paperless. The applicants don’t require the support of any middle man as they can easily handle their profiles from home.
